Step 1. Device preparation

1. Turn on the KINGBOLEN Ediag Elite diagnostic device.

2. Make sure the device is connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or mobile network).

3. Check that there is enough free memory on the device.

Step 2. First access to Fix Device

1. Launch the application on the device.

2. Go to the Fix Device section.

3. On first access, the system will automatically prompt you to download the required data — confirm the download.

⚠️ This is a standard procedure. Without downloading the data, the Fix Device function will not work properly.

Step 3. Data download

During the first launch, the following will be downloaded:

• a database of repair procedures with step-by-step recommendations;

• calibration files and service functions (error reset, adaptations, sensor learning, EPB, DPF, TPMS service resets, etc.);

• brand-specific packages (if not previously installed);

• diagnostic algorithm updates.

A customer account must be created in the Ediag app. Next, the Kingbolen Ediag Elite device is connected to the vehicle's power outlet, with the ignition on. The device is then added in the app, and the QR code containing the device's serial number and activation code is scanned by the phone. These details are entered automatically, or this can be done manually.

If the owner of the Kingbolen Ediag Elite changes, you cannot manually remove (unlink) the device from your account directly in the app—the link remains, and there is no "unbind" option in the app.

Attempts to delete the account through the system itself (for example, by deleting a user account) will not unlink the device. Therefore, a warning may appear when deleting that the device is still linked.

What should I do if I need to unlink a device?

Contacting Kingbolen support is essentially the only viable way to unlink a device from your account, especially if you want to sell or transfer the adapter to someone else.

Why can't I delete it myself?

This is because the device's connection to your account is stored on Kingbolen servers, not just in the app, so there's no "delete/unlink device" button in the interface.
