The backlight is activated using a magnet, which is installed on the car door using double-sided tape. On the LED thresholds there is a sensor installed in a certain place; when you approach it, the backlight turns off.

The thresholds are installed instead of the original ones on standard mounts. To dismantle the original thresholds, you need to remove them from the clips using a plastic spatula or a credit card.
