Repair boards for restoring the operation of rear LED lights of BMW X3 F25 (2011–2016 model years). The kit consists of 4 identical boards intended for replacing all segments of the rear lighting — two on the tailgate and two on the body. This is a universal solution that fits all four parts of the light, simplifying the repair process and parts procurement.
Analog of the original Valeo B003809.2 board, but with a significantly improved and optimized circuit. Our board features increased durability, energy efficiency, and stable operation. Unlike cheap Chinese analogs, it does not cause radio interference in the FM band and does not require modifications during installation.
The board is located on the outside of the light, making replacement extremely simple. You can perform the repair yourself without visiting a service center. For clarity, we have prepared a video tutorial on removal and installation:
Why do the rear LED lights of BMW X3 F25 fail? Over time (usually after 5–8 years of operation), the sections of the side marker lights stop working. The cause is the factory Valeo control board, which cannot withstand temperature fluctuations and loads. Dealers offer only full light replacement: a new inner light costs about 200 EUR, an outer one — 250 EUR. Buying used lights is a temporary solution, as the problem may recur. The LEDs themselves are practically eternal; the issue lies solely in the control electronics.
How to replace? To remove the old board, carefully use pliers to remove part of the factory-molded plastic (location shown in the photo), but do not cut it completely so that the new board remains securely fixed. Then, from the opposite side, pull and remove the old board at an angle. Installation of the new board is performed in reverse order. The entire process takes 20–30 minutes per light.

The new board is installed and ready for operation.

Comparison with cheap analogs:
| Parameter | Our board (Valeo B003809.2 analog) | Cheap Chinese analogs (e.g., from Aliexpress) |
|---|---|---|
| Board thickness | Standard, matches original | 2 times thinner, loose in mounting slot |
| Cooling radiator | Aluminum, with thermal paste | Absent |
| Energy efficiency | Optimized circuit | Basic circuit, overheating |
| FM band interference | None | Often present |
| Service life | Long-lasting, designed for years | Short, often fails |
Visual comparison:

Comparison with original Valeo board: Our board replicates the original connectors and mounting points but has a modified, more efficient circuit. This is evident from the component layout:

What does a faulty light look like? If one of the side marker light segments is not working, it is visually noticeable:

Board location in lights: Boards are located in each of the four segments of the rear lights — two inner (on the trunk) and two outer (on the body).

Iesaku!
