Replacement Process (Briefly)
- Carefully disassemble the old key by unscrewing a small cross-head screw, usually located under the battery cover or under the logo overlay.
- Remove the circuit board with the chip, the battery (if present), and the mechanical turning element (the lock cylinder).
- Carefully transfer all these components into the new AKA2 housing in reverse order.
- Tighten the screw and assemble the housing. Your key is as good as new!
Important: This housing is only suitable for keys with a mechanical blade. If your original key has a folding blade (switchblade), this housing will not fit.
