The most complete Full Chip package for flexible work
Extended includes the same tested OP-COM Full Chip interface as Standard plus a prepared USB drive. It contains the complete set of working versions: 1.39, 1.45, 1.59, 1.60, 1.64 and 1.67, allowing the most suitable option to be selected and installed for a particular Opel generation or control unit.
Version 1.67 is the primary and most complete option. Earlier versions are included for a practical reason: on some older vehicles and individual modules they can provide the most stable communication. Together with Full Chip hardware, this makes Extended a flexible professional package for owners of several Opel vehicles and workshops.
What the USB drive adds
The USB drive is not merely an accessory. It is a prepared working set containing versions 1.39, 1.45, 1.59, 1.60, 1.64 and 1.67, related materials and a clear workflow. The customer does not have to collect random files from the internet or guess whether they match the interface.
Why Full Chip really matters
The complete hardware design with the required transceivers and signal relays can communicate not only with the engine but also with supported body, ABS/ESP, airbag, instrument, climate, transmission and other Opel control units. Cheap simplified adapters may look identical but often omit components and reach only a limited number of modules.
Version 1.67 — the highest proper OP-COM version
The interface is supplied with version 1.67, the latest and most complete working version for the OP-COM platform. Higher numbers commonly printed on cheap Chinese adapters are generally marketing labels and do not provide better diagnostics by themselves. Reliable operation depends on the correct Full Chip hardware, the suitable version, drivers and prepared materials.
What it can do
Depending on the vehicle and control unit, functions may include reading and clearing faults, live data, actuator tests, service procedures, adaptations and coding of supported features. OP-COM is especially valuable where a generic OBD adapter reaches only the engine but access to Opel-specific systems is required.
Who this version is for
This hardware version is intended for compatible late GM-era Opel models and extends coverage compared with the early version. For new PSA/Stellantis-based Opel models from 2021 onward, ThinkDiag 2 is used.
