New headlights from the factory have a protective lacquer coating. Over time, under the influence of sun, temperature fluctuations, sand, and road chemicals, this lacquer becomes cloudy, turns matte (the “sandblasted” effect), and develops a network of micro-cracks. This not only worsens the car's appearance but also significantly reduces light output, directly affecting nighttime driving safety.

Traditional headlight restoration methods at service centers often only involve polishing. This method provides a temporary visual improvement but actually removes the remnants of the factory protective layer, after which the headlight clouds over even faster. A more expensive method – complete disassembly of the headlight, sanding, and applying new lacquer – is labor-intensive and does not always ensure a long-lasting result. The alternative of using a protective film also has drawbacks: the film scratches easily, becomes cloudy over time, and may peel off after high-pressure washing.

Step-by-step process using the kit:

1. Preparation: The body around the headlight is protected with masking tape. The headlight surface is sanded with fine-grit sandpaper (included in the kit) to an even matte finish to completely remove old lacquer and ensure adhesion.
2. Heating the compound: The liquid polymer is poured into the special heating container, which is connected to the power supply (the kit includes adapters for 12V from the cigarette lighter and for 220V from the mains). The compound's boiling point is 85°C.
3. Application: After heating, the polymer vapor is applied to the headlight surface using one of the two nozzles (cone or tube for hard-to-reach areas). The polymer deposits as a thin, strong, and transparent film. The restored clarity is visible immediately.

IMPORTANT! The polymer must NOT be applied in liquid form by rubbing – this may damage (“melt”) the polycarbonate surface. Work must be carried out using personal protective equipment: rubber gloves, goggles, and a respirator.
